About the photograph
The chalk formations of Old Harry Rocks are located on the Isle of Purbeck in Dorset, on the south coast of England. They also make up part of the Jurassic Coast, which is classed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
After I saw this place on social media about three years ago, I bought a drone! This place was definitely the being of my inspiration and drive to experiment with more landscape photography. Shortly afterwards I booked a weekend away in Dorset with the aim to capture this coastline at sunset.
After a quick, albeit rather sweaty power walk out to the cliff edge, whilst carrying two camping chairs and my photography gear, I arrived at Old Harry Rocks to witness and capture this stunning light. It was definitely a moment I won’t forget any time soon.
