About the photograph

Eilean Donan is a 13th Century Castle is located in the western Scottish Highlands. And was my last scheduled stop on mainland Scotland before spending a few days on the Isle of Skye.  This picturesque Scottish castle is one of the most recognised castles in Scotland, due to it’s frequent appearance in film, television and photographs.

We arrived just after lunch and I was all ready to capture some cracking shots. But it just so happens that you can’t fly a drone around there before 6pm. So after three hours of waiting around in the car park, I witnessed and shot the most beautiful sunset from my two-week road trip around Scotland!
